Kitesurfing and windsurfing in New Zealand

Kitesurfing is a surface water sport combining aspects of wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding, and gymnastics into one extreme sport. Harnessed to a paragliding-style kite with a small board attached their feet, kite surfers race across the face of wind – mainly on the water and at times in the air Nurses and doctors will find it, together with mainstream windsurfing, enormously popular in New Zealand.

The country’s remarkable coastal and lakeside scenery makes windsurfing or kitesurfing all the more enjoyable. Harnessing the power of the wind and the waves is a wonderful way of getting close to nature

Board hire and instructors are available to nurses and doctors at most of the popular windsurfing areas, which include the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Taupo, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin.
