A nurse arriving in San Francisco will quickly realize that it is one of the most unique cities in the country. The city embraces deep traditions in historical, educational and recreational activities. In addition to the San Francisco Zoo, and Bay Cruises. Together with a multitude of museums and the California Academy of Sciences to name but a few. In terms of lifestyle there is San Francisco’s vibrant street scene, the Bay Area’s charming towns and scenic roads, and unique attractions like Alcatraz, Angel Island, a cityscape view from Coit Tower, and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
A nurse will come to appreciate that the Bay is as diverse as the people but remains very Californian. Strangely, the weather in the Bay really doesn’t permit people to wear seasonal clothes -the day may start out chilly and get warm in the middle of the day for an hour and get cold again at night. After living there for a while a nurse will notice that the body acclimates to the local weather entirely. Finally a nurse should be aware that the weather is unpredictable.
