UK Registration for Nurses from Ghana
Essentially three stages:
Part 1 Competency Test
- CBT (Computer Based multiple choice Test).

- English Language Testing (IELTS)
The Nursing and Midwife Council accepts the Academic version of IELTS (International English Language Testing System). UK nurse applicants must achieve a 6.5 score in writing, and 7 in reading, listening and speaking.
The British Council location in Tanzania to sit for the IELTS exam is in Dar es Salaam

Part 2 Competency Test
- OSCE (Objective Structured Critical Examination)

Note that nurses need to sit for the Academic test, the cost of the test is GBP176.
Minimum required results:
Nursing in the United States: Average of 6.5 with Spoken at 7
Nursing in the United Kingdom: 7 in Speaking, Listening, Reading. 6.5 in Writing.
