We are currently recruiting for a Regional Trauma Center in a fantastic location which requires Physiotherapists. The hospital has an excellent reputation and the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval. Successful candidates will receive assistance with meeting all US requirements including PT licensure, immigration and relocation. Much like in the UK, the physical therapist assists in the treatment of physical dysfunction or injury by the use of therapeutic exercise, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic functional activities and the application of modalities with the purpose of restoring or facilitating normal function or development in the patient. As a brief overview, your duties related to Patient Care will include: Evaluating the patient for physical and functional deficits Establishing appropriate treatment plans and goals Educate the patient and family in home treatment plans as needed Collaborate with other disciplines including MDs, RNs, OTs, speech therapists and discharge planners. Reassess the patient’s progress, revises treatment plan and modifies goals when appropriate. Attend and present at discharge rounds and patient care conferences. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of clinical experience but the client will consider new graduates. Those with a relevant Masters degree are of particular interest as they will be able to relocate to the USA at a quicker rate. Successfull candidates will be adaptable, have excellent communication skills and a passion for physiotherapy. As the hospital is a teaching facility, a desire to continually improve your knowledge and skills will also be noted.
