Hospice in New York City requires experienced nurses to work with hospice patients in the community. Nurses employed in these positions will plan, direct, and provide professional nursing care within patients’ homes using a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses will coordinate care plans with other disciplines and team members. The nurse serves as the point of contact for the patient and must be able to prioritize multiple tasks independently. Basic computer skills are required (nurses are issued laptop computers and mobile telephones.) To be considered for this post you must be a registered general nurse with at least one year of current experience, be eligible for a US nursing license in New York State and meet US immigration requirements. At least one year of experience in Hospice, Palliative Care, Oncology, Care of the Elderly, Community or District Nursing preferred. A caring, compassionate personality with a strong interest in hospice care is crucial. No shift work!
