Dameron offers a wide range of services using advanced technology, state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for inpatient, outpatient and occupational care. |
Recognizing early on that nursing was vital in caring for patients he founded a training hospital for nurses that included housing within the Dameron facility. Although the nursing residence closed twenty-eight
years later, Dameron Hospital’s respect for the profession of nursing was firmly established. Dameron Hospital Association became a non-profit medical facility in 1943 and since then has been governed by a seven-person board of directors and 20 member board of membership. In 1957 Dr. Luis Arismendi, assumed leadership as Board President and Hospital Administrator. Vowing early to run the Hospital in the black, Dr. Arismendi’s cash-only philosophy and sound fiscal efficiency ensured that while may other community health centers were struggling to reduce the cost of patient care or merging with health-care giants, Dameron remained independent without compromising patient care. Upon his death in April of 2000, his son Dr. Christopher Arismendi was named Hospital Administrator. Dr. Arismendi, a surgeon, trained at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic before returning to Stockton in 1994.
Dameron Hospital refers to itself as the “Dameron Family”. As Stockton’s community hospital Dameron is a reflection of the community it serves. We are the fourth largest employer in the area offering competitive wages, health and retirement benefits.

Dameron long serving in the words of one of our nurses
"The Community Hospital has a real passion about serving the local people. It is a bright and friendly facility with a good spread of specialities. They include: ER, CCU, ICU, Telemetry, Labour and Delivery and NICU. Over the past year I have been involved in the CCU and the ICU areas. Together with the hospital's willingness to futher educate ICU and CCU nurses it has been an immensely rewarding period of my US nursing career"
